Bears Advance Past Firehawks in MSC Quarterfinal

Bowling Green, Ky.- The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team was outscored 31-22 in the first half and couldn't overcome the nine-point deficit to fall to Shawnee State 71-62 in the MSC quarterfinal round on Saturday.

FIREHAWK FACTS

  • UTS pulled down 24 rebounds, 13 less than the Bears.
  • The Firehawks would grab eight steals, two more than SSU.
  • UTS would reject two shots.
