Firehawks Finish Second Out of Seven in Firehawk Invitational
FLORENCE, Ala. – The University of Tennessee Southern women's cross country squad finished second in Firehawk Invitational at McFarland Park on Friday.
Jacksonville State paced all teams with 37 points and finished in a time of 1:55:33, while Bethelhem Manzano Jimeno, from Jacksonville State, captured the top podium spot with a 21:33 6K time.
Alyssa Andrea led the Firehawk effort earning a 7th-place finish in 23:43. UTS ended the race in 2:01:30 and with 63 points.
The rest of the UT Southern scorers finished taking places 9, 12, 17, and 19. Emma Vizina landed a time of 23:51, while Olivia Barksdale ran at 23:56. Miriam Schulz crossed the line at 24:54, with Amelia Worsley was 10 seconds behind at 25:04.
