Andrea Sets Program’s Fastest Time, Firehawks Finish 22nd out of 58 in Live in Lou Classic
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Tennessee Southern women's cross country squad finished just outside the top 20 in the Live in Lou Classic at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park on Saturday.
Trine paced all teams with 179 points and finished in a time of 1:38:53, while Bethelhem Manzano Jimeno, from Jacksonville State, captured the top podium spot with a 18:06 5k time.
Alyssa Andrea led the Firehawk effort earning a 31st-place finish in 19:42. UTS ended the race in 1:45:27 and with 586 points. Andrea shattered the program best time in her performance today.
The rest of the Tennessee Southern scorers finished taking places 119, 121, 155, and 216. Miriam Schulz landed a time of 21:01, while Olivia Barksdale ran at 21:02. Emma Vizina crossed the line at 21:29, with Amelia Worsley was 41 seconds behind at 22:10.
