MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The University of Tennessee Southern volleyball team clinched their 10th win of the year with a 3-0 win at Faulkner on Friday. Due to some technical issues stats were not available until early Saturday morning.
UT Southern (10-7, 3-3) dominated the first set in the battle between the birds. Faulkner (3-11, 2-4) battled back to win the second set. The Firehawks bounced back and completed the match, winning the final two sets.
Morgan Avrit led with 19 kills. Olivia Ward and Kayle Moody each added 10 kills. Laura Howell had a double-double performance gathering 43 assists and 11 digs. Four other Firehawks eclipsed double digit digs. Hailey Walker led with 16, Isabella Garza picked up 14, Sophia Ortega and Hannah Oliver each added 10 digs.
