PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern volleyball team fell in straight sets (16-25, 24-26, 20-25) on Saturday (Oct. 15) against Freed-Hardeman.
The Lions got out to a fast start and took the first set. In set two, UTS and FHU traded points. The Lions would outlast the Firehawks moving to the third set. In the final set, FHU never looked back sweeping UTS.
Sophia Ortega led with 10 kills on 24 hacks. Laura Howell contributed 14 assists. Morgan Avrit recorded 10 digs for the Firehawks.

Tennessee Southern will travel to Campbellsville to take on the Tigers on Tuesday, October 18th. The first serve is scheduled for 6 pm.
