PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The University of Tennessee Southern volleyball team notched their 10th win on the season in straight sets (25-14, 25-11, 25-18) on Saturday (Oct. 8) against Pikeville.

The Firehawks started with a 4-0 run and never trailed in the first set. In the second set, UTS would lead 12-3 and take advantage of UPike errors cruising to a second-set win. Both teams would trade points in the final set, but UTS would take advantage of a pair of three-point runs to put the Bears away in three.

Brianna Turner led with 19 kills on 32 swings and 10 digs. Laura Howell would add 33 assists.  Hannah Oliver would amass 13 digs.

NEXT UP

Tennessee Southern will return to the CAC to host Bethel and Reinhardt on Tuesday, October 11. The first serve against the Wildcats is scheduled for 4 p.m. and with the Eagles at 6 p.m.
