Firehawks Keg Ambassadors on Hawktoberfest

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern volleyball team won in straight sets (25-13, 25-11, 25-10) on Tuesday (Oct. 4) against Oakwood.

The Firehawks easily cruised to a three-set victory. In the first set, the Ambassadors would hand close but the Firehawks would go on a 7-3 run to take set one. The final two sets were all Firehawks.

Morgan Avrit led with 10 kills on 14 hacks. Laura Howell and Olivia Cox would each record 16 assists. Hailey Walker would shovel 11 digs. UTS would have plenty of aces in the hole during the match. Howell had six, Ella McIsaac held four of a kind, Cox had a pair, and Avrit added one.

Tennessee Southern will travel to Williamsburg, Ky. on Friday, October 7. First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m.
