PULASKI, Tenn. – The #8 University of Tennessee Southern women's soccer team punched their ticket to Orange Beach with a 3-1 victory over Olivet Nazarene on Saturday. The Firehawks make the NAIA Championship site for the seventh year under head mentor Will Austin sporting a 127-16-10 record.
In the opening half, UTS would net three goals but allow one to ONU. In the fifth minute, reining NAIA Championship MVP Yuki Watari, from the Estelle Badoedana Ekada assist, would lift the Firehawks in up 1-nil. Three minutes later, the Tigers would make the match all square on a goal by Melea Miller. Midway through the half, Kira Goodwin would net the game-winner from the Ekada assist. Ekada would net her team-leading 26th score just minutes before the half. Her goal was set up by a perfect Watari pass. UTS would lead in shots 5-3.
In the second half, the Firehawks would smother the Tigers denying them a shot in the final half. The Firehawks would outshoot the Tigers 14-3 and would lead shots-on-goal 8-2.
Brooke Shavers recorded a save on two chances in the win.
UTS improved to 16-4-2 on the season, and ONU dropped to 15-6-1.

The Firehawks will travel to Orange Beach, Ala. to the NAIA Championship Final Site to play either on Tuesday, November 29th, or Thursday, December 1st.
