Ekada Records Fifth Brace of Season, No. 7 Firehawks Smash Saints

PULASKI, Tenn. – The #7 University of Tennessee Southern women's soccer team scored three second-half goals in a 4-1 victory over Thomas More on Saturday, October 15.

UTS would get on the board first inside of the first three minutes.  Anais Stephany would net her sixth score of the season from the Suzuho Yamasaki assist. UTS would lead in shots 6-4.

In the second half, both squads would add goals. Estelle Badoedana Ekada would finish a Yuki Watari pass to pad the Firehawk lead. TMU would slash the lead in half in the 61st minute. Ekada would complete a brace in the 81st minute from the Jessica Glassman helper. The pair of goals by Ekada would bring her total to 19 for the year. UTS would add one more five minutes later. Madison Luttrell would score from the Annah Norman pass. The Firehawks would outshoot the Saints 13-8 and would lead shots-on-goal 7-3.

Brooke Shavers logged the win. She faced three shots allowing one goal. Layken Stockstill would close out the match not facing a shot.
