No. 3 Firehawks Clash With Knights

Pulaski, Tenn. - The #3 University of Tennessee Firehawks will conclude regular season play with a neutral site matchup with Middle Georgia State. The match will take place in Montgomery, Ala. at Emory Folmar YMCA Soccer Complex, the site of the Southern States Championships. 

UTS (14-1) suffered a home loss to #19 Cumberland University 2-1 on Thursday. The Firehawks will be the #1 seed in the Mid-South Conference championship beginning next week. UTS repeated as MSC regular season champs, and will garner one of the conference's automatic bids to the NAIA Championship Tournament. The Firehawks will host a MSC Quarterfinal match on Friday November 5th vs the winner of Shawnee State at Bethel. Keido Ido leads UTS with 22 goals. Adisa Amang has 21 goals and leads the Firehawks in assists with 17.

Middle Georgia State (12-3) in currently on a four match win streak with wins over Mobile (4-2), Faulkner (1-0), Dalton State (2-1) and Brewton-Parker (1-0). The Knights will be the #2 seed in the SSAC Championship beginning next week. MGSC will have face the winner of Faulkner at Brewton-Parker in the SSAC Semifinals on November 10th. Miagh Downey leads the Knights with 13 goals and seven assists.

This will be the third meeting in the series, with UTS holding a 2-0 advantage. Live stats will be available provided by UTS.
