Ekada and Vazquez Sweep MSC POW Honors

Bowling Green, Ky. – Tennessee Southern's Estelle Badoedana Ekada and Isabelle Vazquez were voted the Mid-South Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday. MSC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Estelle Badoedana Ekada – Tennessee Southern – Jr. – Forward – Ombessa, Cameroon

  • Badoedana Ekada netted four total goals, two in each match, in road victories over Top 15-ranked opponents for the Firehawks
  • She posted goals in the 44th and 72nd minutes in a win at 11th-ranked Lindsey Wilson (Ky.)
  • The junior registered the only goals for UTS in a 2-0 decision at 13th-rated Campbellsville (Ky.) in the fourth and 26th minutes
  • Badoedana Ekada recorded her MSC second player of the week honor this season and third of her career

MSC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Isabelle Vazquez – Tennessee Southern – Sr. – Defender – Bradenton, Fla.

  • Vazquez led the Firehawks defense in a pair of road wins over Top 15-ranked opponents
  • The senior helped UTS hold 11th-ranked Lindsey Wilson scoreless over the final 74-plus minutes after the Blue Raiders took an early lead
  • She anchored the backline in a 2-0 victory at No. 13 Campbellsville, which entered the week averaging 4.75 goals per outing
  • This marks Vazquez's first Mid-South player of the week honor this season and first of her career
