Amang Wins Third Consecutive POW Honor

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Tennessee Southern's Adisa Amang and Lindsey Wilson's Maya Caon were voted the Mid-South Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

MSC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Adisa Amang – Tennessee Southern – Sr. – Forward – Kumba, Cameroon

  • Amang recorded five goals and two assists in two wins for the Firehawks
  • She assisted on a goal in the 77th minute and scored in the 89th at Shawnee State (Ohio)
  • The senior scored four times and added an assist at Pikeville (Ky.)
  • She leads the NAIA in points (55) and assists (17) and ranks second nationally in goals (19)
  • Amang recorded her third player of the week honor this season and fifth of her career

MSC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Grace Morris – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Fr. – Defender – Llandysul, Wales

  • Morris helped the Phoenix to a pair of road shutouts and scored the game-winner in the second match of the week
  • The freshman netted the game-winner on a corner kick header at Shawnee State (Ohio)
  • She anchored a back line that faced just 11 total shots in two outings
  • This marks Morris' first player of the week honor this season and first of her career
