Amang Wins First MSC POW Honor

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands' Georgia Martell and Tennessee Southern's Adisa Amang were voted the Mid-South Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

MSC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Adisa Amang – Tennessee Southern – Sr. – Forward – Kumba, Cameroon

  • Amang scored three goals and recorded two assists in a pair of Tennessee Southern victories.
  • She scored a goal and recorded two assists in a 4-1 victory over Life (Ga.).
  • Amang then had two goals in a 3-1 win over No. 5 Cumberlands (Ky).
  • She earns weekly honors for the first time this season and third in her career.

MSC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Georgia Martell – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Fr. – Goalkeeper – Brisbane, Australia

  • Martell recorded eight saves in a 1-1 draw against No. 20 Cumberland (Tenn.).
  • She made two diving saves in the 58th and 68th minute to keep the Phoenix scoreless early in the second half.
  • Martell earns weekly honors for the second time this season and in her career.
