Pulaski, Tenn. - A strong defensive performance led the UTS women's soccer team to their fifth win of the season Tuesday afternoon.

The Firehawks (5-0, 1-0 MSC) fell behind early but scored four unanswered goals Tuesday against Life (3-3, 0-1 MSC) winning 4-1. Forward Keito Ido the team offensively with two goals on the afternoon and having six shots in the game. Forward Adisa Amang added a goal and to assists. Forward Yuki Watari added a goal and an assist for the Firehawks. 

Goalkeeper Gabby Kennedy played a 67 minutes for the Firehawks and had two saves on three shots. The Runnin' Eagles lone goal of the game came from forward Justine Kupier early in the 1st half. 

The Firehawks only allowed seven shots and four corner kicks from Life.

Coach Will Austin commented on the win, "15 days without a match definitely had our rhythm off early in the match. Muddy conditions added adversity to our game plan. I am proud of our team for fighting through and getting the job done. All four goals were of the highest quality. This team is rich in character, toughness and togetherness."
