KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Martin Methodist's (Tenn.) Adisa Amang (SR/Kumba, Cameroon) was named the NAIA Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the national office Tuesday afternoon.
This marks the second straight week that a RedHawk has garnered this award, as Yuki Watari (SO/Sao Paulo, Brazil) was the recipient last week.
Amang earned the award after netting consecutive hattricks in Martin Methodist's two games last week. Amang scored three goals and dished out two assists in the 7-1 win over Shawnee State, while tallying three goals in the 5-1 win over Georgetown.
In MMC's win over Thomas More College Tuesday afternoon, the NAIA POTW duo accounted for three goals, as Amang notched two, while Watari added a goal and an assist.
The RedHawks are 13-0 overall and 7-0 in MidSouth Conference play, and will travel to Cumberland University on Friday, March 19 and host No. 13 Lindsey Wilson College on Sunday, March 21.
