MONTGOMERY, Ala. – UT Southern swept the SSAC M&W Golfer of the Week honors, with Jacob Wilson being named SSAC Men's Golfer of the Week and Iona Pollitt being named SSAC Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

The awards are based on performance for the week of Sept. 18-24.

Jacob Wilson (UT Southern – JR – College Grove, Tenn.)

·      This is his first weekly honor

·      Wilson won the Firehawk Invitational with a three-under 141 (71, 70)

·      He rallied from a three-stroke deficit after round one in a tournament featuring SSAC schools Faulkner, Mobile and Loyola

Iona Pollitt (UT Southern – SO – San Fulgencio, Spain)

·      This is her first weekly award 

·      Pollitt won the Firehawk Invitational at six-under 138 (69, 69)

·      She led wire-to-wire in an event featuring SSAC schools William Carey, Mobile, Faulkner, Point and Loyola
