ATHENS, Ala. – The University of Tennessee Southern women's golf squad finished 2nd in the Firehawk Invitational at Canebrake Club on Tuesday. UT Southern B squad finished 10^th in the field of 10.

William Carey paced the field with an opening round 294 and a final round of 287, while Iona Pollitt, from UT Southern, captured the top podium spot with twin rounds of 69 (-6). UT Southern and William Carey were tied atop the leader board after day one.

Pollitt and Klaudie Karnikova led the field after the first round with a tournament low score of 69. Karnikova finished 8th.
