Firehawks Engulf Field at FHU Spring Invitational, Women’s Golf Records First Win in Program History
KILLEN, Ala. – The University of Tennessee Southern women's golf carded a pair of great rounds to cruise to the program's first team tournament win in the FHU Spring Invitational hosted by Freed-Hardeman University on Tuesday. UTS led day one action with a team score of 319 and sealed the win with a final round 323 finishing 37 strokes ahead of Blue Mountain Christian.
The Firehawks led the field with a score of 642 (+66), while Riley Mayhew, of BMCC, took the top podium spot with a 153 (+9) scorecard.
Candella Clemente led the Firehawk effort firing rounds of 77 and 76. UTS began day two a top of the leaderboard and held their ground turning in a 642 (+66).
