Hale Drops 21, Firehawks Bewilder Bulldogs

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern women's basketball team trailed 18-15 after one period. The Firehawks drew back even to a 30-30 tie at the half. UT Southern (1-4) exploded in the third quarter outscoring the home team 29-24. Beginning the final period with a five-point lead, UTS survived a late Fisk (2-3) rally to hold on for the win. Maggie Hale's hot shooting added fuel to the fire. She connected on five of eleven from distance turning in a 21-point performance.  Faith Eubank added three triples in her 13-point outing. Takiyah Goff gathered up six assists and tossed in 11 in the Firehawk win.

Fisk outrebounded UT Southern 62-32, and the Bulldogs had three players produce double doubles.

NEXT UP

UT Southern will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Wednesday, November 29. The Firehawks will battle the Tigers of Stillman at 5:30 p.m.
