PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern women's basketball dropped their second loss of the weekend in a 62-46 result with Freed on Saturday.
Takiyah Goff led the Firehawks with nine points. Janiyha Riley and Sydney Cooper each pitched in eight.
The Firehawks led the Lions after the opening quarter 14-13 and outshot the Lions 43%-42%. Unfortunately, the cold front would roll in. UTS would shoot 12-45 for the final three periods accumulating 18 field goals for the contest.
UTS would shoot 18 of 59 for 31% from the field. There would be two lead changes and no ties.
