PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern women's basketball team dropped their first Mid-South Conference matchup in an 83-60 loss to #3 Campbellsville on Thursday.
Two Firehawks scratched the scorebook with double figures in the game. Takiyah Goff led the team with 12 points and six assists. Janiyha Riley contributed 10 points.
The Firehawks scored trailed by six at the break, but the Tigers pulled away in the second half outscoring UTS 22-10 in the third.
CU would outshoot UTS posting 30 of 52 at 58% from the field. There would be one lead change and two ties.
