Firehawks Fall Short in Opening Pair with No. 14 Lions

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern softball team fell in the opening pair of games with #14 Freed-Hardeman today 7-0 and 10-0.

GAME ONE

FHU would manufacture a run in the first to take the early 1-0 lead.

Ana Aaron would keep the dangerous Lion lineup quite for the first three innings. FHU would explode for five in the fourth.

Aaron would toss four innings allowing two earned runs on six hits. Aaron would record three strikeouts falling to 3-5 on the year. Macey Ciramella would hurl the final three frames. Ciramella would allow one earned run on three hits.

GAME TWO

In game two, The Firehawks could only muster up a pair of hits.

Stella Gilbreath would toss 4.2 innings suffering her third loss of the season. She would give up 10 earned runs on 14 hits. Kamryn Murdock would record the final out.

NEXT UP

The Firehawks will close out the weekend series with #14 Freed-Hardeman on Sunday, April 2nd. The first pitch is scheduled for noon.
