Firehawks Drop Game One with Pheonix

LEBANON, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern softball team couldn't get the bats going in a 7-1 loss against Cumberland on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Cumberland would score three in the third, and one each in the fourth and fifth leading the Firehawks 5-0 after five.

Stella Gilbreath would drive in Mckenzie Cain in the sixth getting the Firehawks on the board. CU would add a pair in the sixth to cruise to the win.

Ana Aaron would get the start. She would toss a pair of innings. Kamryn Murdock would be saddled with the loss. Murdock tossed four innings allowing seven earned runs on eight hits.

NEXT UP

The Firehawks will close out the series with Cumberland on Saturday, March 25th. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 pm.
