PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern softball team split their final conference series of the regular season today at Royce Hughes Field. CU took game one 3-0 but the Firehawks swiped game two 12-1.
GAME ONE
- Hayley Parrott and Kayla Lawrence each had a hit.
- UTS drew three free passes while striking out one time.
- The Firehawks left four on base.
- Savannah Sands took the loss falling to 5-8 on the year.
GAME TWO
- UTS scored 12 runs on 10 hits. Parrott had three hits. Bree Brady added a pair. Sydney Self, Samantha King, Lawrence, Haley Barnes, and Allie Toone each had a hit.
- Deuces were wild for the Firehawks. Knocking five two-base hits. (Parrott, Self, Brady, King, Barnes)
- The Firehawks left seven on base.
- King was dynamite in the win, allowing the first Phoenix hit in the 4th. She improved to 10-6 on the year. King worked four innings allowing one hit and a walking one.

UTS will close out the regular season with senior day tomorrow with Cumberland. The action will begin at 1 pm.
