COLUMBIA, Ky. – The University of Tennessee Southern softball team split the first two games with Lindsey Wilson on Friday. In game one LWC took the win 7-3 , but the Firehawks claimed game two 10-8.
GAME ONE
- UTS gathered up five hits. Shelby Clifton, Samantha King, Hayley Parrott, Kayla Lawrence, and Allie Toone each had a hit.
- Clifton, Parrott, and Lawrence each homered for UTS.
- UTS struck out six times.
- Savannah Sands took the loss falling to 4-5.
GAME TWO
- The Firehawks produced 10 hits. King and Bree Brady both had a pair of hits. Sydney Self, Parrott, Clifton, Chaney Dutton, Lawrence, and Toone each added a hit.
- The Firehawks left nine runners on base.
- UTS drew five free passes.
- The Firehawks when down on strikes twice.
- Clifton and King went yard for the Firehawks.
- Kamryn Murdock notched the win for the Firehawks improving to 3-3. Sands mucked up the final inning obtaining her second save of the season.

UTS will conclude the series with a twin bill with the Blue Raiders tomorrow beginning at noon.
