Campbellsville, Ky. – The University of Tennessee Southern softball team fell in game three 18-3 but defeated Campbellsville 7-2 in the final game of the series today.
GAME THREE
- The Firehawks produced six hits. Sydney Self, Shelby Clifton, Samantha King, Chaney Dutton, Haley Barnes, and Carlie Pendley each had one hit. Clifton and King both had extra-base hits.
- The Firehawks left four ladies on base.
- Self and King had an RBI apiece.
- Hayley Parrott took the L for the Firehawks falling to 0-1.
GAME FOUR
- UTS combined for 12 hits producing seven runs. Bree Brady led the way with three. Clifton, Barnes, Chaney Dutton, and Kayla Lawrence each had a pair of hits. Allie Toone added one.
- Clifton homered in game four.
- King threw a complete-game gem. She allowed two earned runs on six hits. King struck out four. She improved to 4-2 on the year.
NEXT UP
UTS will travel to Columbia, Ky. for a four-game series with Lindsey Wilson. Game times for both days has yet to be determined.
