Korir Earns a Podium Spot, Firehawks Finish Third Out of Eight in Firehawk Invitational
FLORENCE, Ala. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's cross country squad finished third in Firehawk Invitational at McFarland Park on Friday.
Jacksonville State paced all teams with 29 points and finished in a time of 2:10:48, while Jack Lowe, from Jacksonville State, captured the top podium spot with a 25:19 8k time.
Titus Korir led the Firehawk effort earning a 5th-place finish in 26:09. UTS ended the race in 2:16:45 and with 90 points.
The rest of the UT Southern scorers finished taking places 19, 21, 24, and 30. JJ Lincoln landed a time of 27:26, while Dakota Sheppard ran at 27:30. Cody Hill crossed the line at 27:38, with Raleigh Stamps was 24 seconds behind at 28:02.
