Firehawks Finish 12th in Season Opener
OXFORD, Ala. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's cross country squad finished just outside the top 10 in the JSU Foothills Invitational at Choccolocco Park on Friday. UTS was one of the two non-NCAA institutions in the top 12.
Auburn paced all teams with 19 points and finished in a time of 1:16:25, while Cooper Adkins, from AU, captured the top podium spot with a 15:06 marker.
Titus Korir led the Firehawk effort earning a 19th-place finish in 16:05. UTS ended the race in 1:26:90 and with 309 points.
The rest of the Tennessee Southern scorers finished taking places 41, 78, 85, and 86. Matthew Andrea landed a time of 16:24, while JJ Lincoln ran at 17:06. Cody Hill crossed the line at 17:13, with Raleigh Stamps just a second behind at 17:14.
