Korir and Andrea Earn MSC All-Conference, Firehawks Finish Strong in MSC Championship
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's cross country squad finished 6th in the Mid-South Championships on Friday. UTS finished just 14 points behind last year's runner-up Campbellsville.
Shawnee State paced all teams with 30 points and finished in a time of 2:14:59, while Jason Bowers, from Cumberland, captured the top podium spot with a 25:02 marker.
Titus Korir led the Firehawk effort earning a 9th-place finish in 27:25. UTS ended the race in 2:23:11 and with 145 points.
The rest of the Tennessee Southern scorers finished taking places at 15, 24, 45, and 55. Matthew Andrea landed a time of 27:57, while JJ Lincoln ran at 28:23. Raleigh Stamps crossed the line at 29:22, with Zach Shepard just 39 seconds behind at 30:03.
Korir earned MSC first-team All-Conference, and Andrea also earned second-team All-Conference honors.
