UTS Cross Country Poised for a Historic Season

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern Cross Country Head Coach Justin Watson is pleased to announce the upcoming 2022 season schedule.  The schedule will be exceptionally challenging this season as it includes six races including the Mid-South Conference Championships. The Firehawks will open their season on Friday, September 2nd as they host the 2nd annual Firehawk Invitational at Milky Way Farms here in Pulaski. This historic event will be the first collegiate cross country race to be held in Giles County. Last season this event was contested at McFarland Park in Florence, Ala. The following week the UTS will compete in the North Alabama Invitational in Florence, Ala. They will end the month by traveling to Pensacola, Fla. to run in the Argonaut Invitational.

The month of October will see UTS compete in a pair of races. On the 8th, they will travel to Middleton, Ga. to run the Bobcat Invitational. Two weeks later, the Firehawks will close out the month of October racing in the UAH Charger Invitational in Huntsville, Ala. on October 22nd.

UTS will then prepare for the MSC Championships which will be held in Bowling Green, Kentucky on Friday, November 4th.
