Firehawks Spilt Season Opening Dual
MARIETTA, Ga. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's swimming team opened the 2023-24 campaign with a dual meet split with Life and Columbia (S.C.) on Saturday. UT Southern defeated Columbia 116-34 and fell to Life 159-37. The meet was held at the Mountain View Aquatic Center.
Seniors Daniel Villanueva and Matt Swanson led the way with 3rd place finishes in both of their individual events. Will Morrison also picked up a 3rd place finish in the 500 freestyle. The 200 Medley Relay team of Swanson , Tyson Ries, Villanueva, and Remington Hitchcox touched the wall in 2nd with a time of 1:45.20.
