Swimming Excited to Jump in to a Tough 2023-24 Schedule
PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern Head Coach Trevor Trimpe released the 2023-24 Firehawk swimming schedule on Monday. UTS has seven meets on the docket this fall. The young Firehawk program has continued to grow each year since addition in 2020. UTS rejoins the Southern States Athletic Conference after a three-year stint in the MSC.
UTS opens the season on the road in Marietta, Ga., in a dual meet with Life and Columbia (S.C.) on September 30. In October, UTS will travel to rival Bethel on the 14th, and will visit NCAA DIII powerhouse Rhodes on the 21st. The Firehawks will close out the fall competing in the Igloo Invitational in Sewanee, Tenn. on November 17-18.
The Firehawks will welcome former MSC foe Lindsey Wilson to Grissom Natatorium for senior day on January 12. UTS will close out the regular season in a dual with Rhodes and Sewanee on January 20. The Firehawks will compete in the SSAC Championship in Columbus, Ga. beginning February 8th.
