HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's soccer squad fell behind 2-nil in the first half and suffered a 4-nil result to #10 William Carey in the SSAC Quarterfinal.
UT Southern (9-6-2) held tough with the #10 Crusaders, but WCU would take a lead they would not relinquish in the 30th minute. WCU would add a second goal in the 33rd minute to lead 2-0 at the half. UTS trailed in shots 16-3 at the break.
In the second half, the Firehawks would concede two more scores by the home team. The Crusaders led in shots 31-13 and shots on goal 14-3.
Ajay Murray (7-5-2) took the loss allowing four goals and recording 10 saves.
