MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's soccer squad multiple a goal in each period and held the lead in the final period but fell to Faulkner 4-2 on Thursday.   

UT Southern (9-5-1, 4-4-1) would get on the board to level the match in the 27^th minute. Rostand Essomba would finish the Noa Yaguoubi pass to knot the score at one each. Faulkner (10-2-1, 5-2) would lead in shots 11-6.

In the final half, the Firehawks would take the lead in the 61^st minute. George Grice would find the net to give the Firehawks a 2-1 lead. Minutes later the Eagles would score the first of three unanswered goals to defeat the Firehawks 4-2. Faulkner would outshoot UT Southern 20-15 and hold the shots on goal advantage 13-10.

Ajay Murray (7-4-1) would allow four goals and record nine saves.

NEXT UP

The Firehawks will close out the regular season at home on Saturday, October 21^st. UT Southern will host Thomas with the match set to commence at 4 pm.
