Two Late Goals Aid No. 2 Roadrunners Past Firehawks

DALTON, Ga. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's soccer squad scored early in the second half, but #2 Dalton State would add a pair of late scores to remain unblemished in a 2–1 result on Sunday.  

UT Southern (7-5-1, 2-4-1) would break a scoreless tie in the 52nd minute. Noa Yaguoubi would lift the Firehawks to a 1-nil lead. Dalton State would add a leveling goal in the 68th minute and net the game winner in the 84th minute. Dalton State would lead in shots 17-3 and would lead in shots on goal 8-1.

Ajay Murray (5-4-1) would take the loss allowing a pair of goals and recording six saves.

NEXT UP

The Firehawks will return to Grissom Pitch hosting the Knights of Middle Georgia State on Thursday, October 12th. The SSAC match will kickoff at 6:30 p.m.
