Firehawks Improve 16 Spots and Run the Table in Match Play, UTS Wins Glenn Carlson Invitational

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's bowling squad found themselves in a hole after day one of the Glenn Carlson Invitational trailing tournament leader Oklahoma Christian by 686. The Firehawks would blaze three team games of 1,189, 1,091, and 1,093 to surge to a fourth qualifying position. UTS would run through bracket play to score a Tier One crown.

The Firehawks qualified fourth with 9,057 pins over nine team games. C.J. Petrin, of Oklahoma Christian, captured the top podium spot with a total pinfall of 2,130.

Nathan Samuels led the Firehawk effort earning a 27th-place finish with 1,813 over nine team games.
