Firehawks Finish Runner-up in MSC Baker Shootout
RICHMOND, Ky. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's bowling team began their title MSC title defense with a strong second-place finish in the MSC Baker Shootout held at Galaxy Lanes this weekend.
The two-day format consisted of 20 baker games each day. UTS drew the afternoon squad for both days.
The Firehawks compiled 4,093 pins in the Saturday block averaging 204.65. UTS would hold the top spot by nine sticks over Pikeville.
UTS kept the stones rolling adding 4,042 pins on Sunday to finish runner-up by 164 sticks.
The JV Firehawks took the top podium spot.
BY THE NUMBERS
14 – The Firehawks rolled 14 games over 220.
258 – UTS posted a high game of 258.
203.38 – Tennessee Southern averaged 203.38 for 40 baker games.

The Firehawks will travel to the queen city, Cincinnati, Ohio, to compete in the MSC Cincinnati Collegiate Classic. The two-day event will be held at Western Strike and Spare on October 22-23.
