Historical Season Closes Out with Loss to Indiana Wesleyan

MARION, Ind. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team's season came to an end tonight in the NAIA National Championship Second Round after a 92-81 loss to Indiana Wesleyan. The Wildcats got on the board first and held the early lead. UT Southern battled back to tie the game at five. Both teams would trace the lead back and forth and the Firehawks would take a 23-20 lead with under 11 minutes left in the half. IWU expanded out to a six-point advantage with less than four minutes left. The Wildcats led 45-40 at the break.

In the second half, IWU continued to hold the lead early, but UTS battled back to trail by three with 10:16 left in the game. UTS would try to erode the Wildcats lead, but IWU began to pull away down the stretch. IWU outrebounded UTS 30-23.

Three Firehawks scored in double figures. Adarion Hudson led the charge with 23 points and six assists. Kendall Wright scratched for 14 points, and Brandon Brown added 10 points.
