Hudson and Sivley Dual Double Doubles, No. 10 Firehawks Thrash Eagles

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team continued their blemish less Southern States Athletic Conference play with a dominate win over Faulkner by the score of 84-63 on Thursday. Two Firehawks added double double performances in the rout. Adarion Hudson led the Firehawks with 20 points and 10 assists. Tad Sivley added an 18 point and 10 rebound effort as well. Brady Brown scored 11 and grabbed seven boards. Kendall Wright tossed in 10 points.

UT Southern (22-2, 16-0) shot 59 percent, 19 of 32 from the field in the first half. Hudson led all scorers with 13 of his points in the opening half. Faulkner (11-14, 6-11) would lead early in the game, but the Firehawks would ignite to lead by 22 during the first half. UTS led 44-25 at the break.

In the final half, the #10 Firehawks would continue to pull away and enjoy their largest lead at 28 in the early going of the half. Brown and Sivley added 11 and 10 respectively in the half. The good guys would light the nets on fire shooting 46 percent, 17-37 from the field. The Firehawks outrebounded the Eagles 36-26.

NEXT UP

UT Southern will conclude the final homestand of the season on Saturday, February 10th. UTS will host Point on senior day. The Firehawks and Skyhawks will clash at 2 p.m. The teams met earlier this season in West Point, Ga., UTS defeated PU 75-50.
