Five Firehawks Score 10 or More, UT Southern Smother William Carey

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team continued blemish less Southern States Athletic Conference play with a 90-71 victory over William Carey on Tuesday. Five Firehawks contributed 10 points or more in the win. Adarion Hudson led all scorers with 23 points and seven assists. Kendall Wright chipped in 16 points and a pair of blocks. Brady Brown, CJ Greer, and Tad Sivley each scored 10 points. Hudson passed the 1,800-point mark in his career.

UT Southern (15-2, 9-0) fell behind 8-0 in the early going, but charged back take a lead they never would relinquish with 11 minutes to go before halftime. Both teams would trade buckets and the Firehawks would lead 37-30 with 20 minutes remaining.

In the final half, both teams would combine for 94 points. UTS would blow up the scoreboard shooting 57 percent to stay unbeaten in SSAC play. WCU led in rebounds 32-30.

UT Southern will host Loyola on Saturday, January, 13th. The Firehawks and Wolfpack will tip-off at 2 p.m.
