Brown Leads the Way With 16, Firehawks Outrun Roadrunners

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team stretched their winning streak to eight-in-a row with a 63-57 victory over Dalton State College on Saturday. Brady Brown led all scorers with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Adarion Hudson tossed in 11 first half points. CJ Greer added 10 in the win.

UT Southern (12-2, 6-0) controlled the first half holding Dalton State (7-6, 3-3) to 18 points. The Firehawks connected on 14 of 38 from the field. Both teams struggled from long range combining for 2 of 23.

In the final half, the Roadrunners began with an 8-0 run, but the Firehawks ignited to stay in front. Brown, after a cold first half, connected on four triples for 12 second half points. DSC led in rebounds 43-40.

NEXT UP

UT Southern will travel to Montgomery, Ala., to battle the Eagles of Faulkner on Tuesday, January, 2nd. The Firehawks and Eagles will tip-off at 5 p.m.
