Brown and Sivley Each Record Double-Doubles, Firehawks Thwart Toppers
PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team stretched their winning streak to seven-in-a row with a 79-73 victory over Blue Mountain Christian on Saturday. Five Firehawks scored in double figures in the win. Adarion Hudson led the Firehawks with 18 points and four assists. Brady Brown pitched in 17 points and 11 boards. Tad Sivley added 12 points and 11 rebounds. CJ Greer and Koby Isaac each scratched the scorecard with 10.
UT Southern (11-2, 5-0) started on fire and stifled Blue Mountain Christian (7-6, 1-4) offence holding a 15-point lead at the break. The Firehawks connected on 18 of 35 shooting 51 percent from the floor, while holding the Toppers to nine of 32 (28 percent).
In the final half, BMC began to chip away from the Firehawk lead. With 11:24 left in the game BMC had closed the gap to four and was poised to take their first lead since three minutes into the match. UT Southern would meticulously expand the lead heading to the final four minutes. The Firehawks would go six for six from the charity stripe down the stretch to stay unblemished in SSAC play.

UT Southern will return to the CAC, hosting Dalton State on Saturday, December 30th. The Firehawks and Roadrunners will tip-off at 2 p.m.
