Wright Produces His Second Double-Double, UT Southern Obliterates Oakwood

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team heated up the cool temperatures in the Curry Athletic Complex shooting 59% in the opening half. The Firehawks shot better than 62% in the final period routing Oakwood 91-52. All three Firehawk wins this season included UT Southern eclipsing to 90-point plateau. Five players scored in double figures with Kendall Wright recording a double-double.

Malik Tyson led the UT Southern (3-1) scoring attack with 15 points, connecting on five triples. Wright added 14 points and 10 boards in his second double-double of the year. Adarion Hudson created 13 tallies and added five assists to his program leading mark. Newcomer, Bradin Nelson, posted his career high with the Firehawks of 12 points. Brady Brown contributed 11 in the Firehawk win.

Oakwood (0-3) would never lead once in the game, trailing by 39 in the final minute of the game.

UT Southern will enjoy a week off before heading to Williamsburg, Ky., to play Campbellsville on Friday, November 10th.
