Brown Becomes Fifth Firehawks to Score 1,000 Career Points, Firehawks Come Up Short Against Blue Raiders

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball came up short in an 84-82 Mid-South Conference Opening Round loss to Lindsey Wilson on Tuesday.

Adarion Hudson led all scorers with 21 points and nine assists. Kavion Hancock added 13 points. CJ Greer added 12 points, and Tad Sivley contributed a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Firehawks got out to a cold start, as Lindsey Wilson led most of the first half. UTS took the lead just before the break holding a 36-32 lead.

The two teams would trade buckets, but LWC would nail 10-19 from long distance to bounce back and take the lead with only six seconds left. The Firehawks would have a shot on the rim as time expired, but wouldn't get the kind bounce.

UTS would shoot 26 of 61 for 43% from the field. There would be 13 lead changes and six ties.
