GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball couldn't overcome a slow start in an 83-75 loss to #10 Georgetown.
Kavion Hancock led the Firehawks scoring 23 points and missing a double-double with eight boards. Malik Tyson added 13 points.
Georgetown took control early and never let up. The Tigers kept the Firehawks down by double digits for most of the first half. UTS would battle back to trail 35-29 at the break.
The Tigers would quickly pull away to double digits shooting 52% to secure the win.
UTS would shoot 31 of 71 for 44% from the field. There would not be any lead changes or ties.

The Firehawks will travel to Williamsburg, Ky. to play the Patriots on Saturday, February 11th. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m.
