Six Firehawks Scratch Double Figures, Firehawks Cage Bears  

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball extended their win streak to five in a row in a high-scoring affair defeating Shawnee State 93-88 on Thursday.

Kendall Wright led the Firehawks with career-high 21 points. Kavion Hancock added 16 points. Brady Brown missed a double-double pitching in 15 points with eight boards. CJ Greer, Adarion Hudson, and Tad Sivley each contributed 11 points. Hudson dished out 13 assists to complete a double-double.

UTS would take control of the opening half leading 52-42 at the break. The Firehawks would shoot just a shade under 60% in the first 20 minutes. UTS found an AT&T card dialing long distance 10 times out of 15 chances. Both teams would shoot 40+% in the final half. SSU would make a run in the final minutes, but a pair of Hancock free-throws would take the game out of reach, and score a win for the good guys.

UTS would shoot 31 of 60 for 52% from the field. There wouldn't be any lead changes and five ties.
