Brown’s Double-Double leads Firehawks in Win Over Eagles

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball ended the 2022 part of the season with a thrilling 74-69 win against Reinhardt on Saturday.

Kavion Hancock led all scorers with 23 points. Brady Brown scored 18 points and added 12 boards for his third double-double performance of the year. Malik Tyson added 12 points.

The Firehawks took the early lead on a pair of triples to lead 6-0. Both teams would settle in and trade the lead with UTS leading at the break 33-32. The second half was more of the first. Both squads battled but would find themselves deadlocked at 69 with just 30 seconds left. Hancock would dial up long distance to net the eventual game-winner. A RU turnover and a pair of Adarion Hudson free-throws out secure the win in front of the home crowd.

UTS would shoot 24 of 58 for 41% from the field. There would be eight lead changes and eight ties.
