THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team dropped their first game of the season in an 81-65 loss against Texas A&M-Texarkana on Saturday.
Two Firehawks contributed double figures in the game. Kavion Hancock led the offensive attack with 24 points. Brady Brown added 13 in 33 minutes of action.
The Firehawks trailed the Eagles 36-30 in the opening stanza. TAMTU connected on two more triples (7 of 17) than UTS in the half and UTS would outshoot the good guys 48%-41%.
The Firehawks would be outscored 45-35 in the second half. There would be two lead changes.
