Firehawks Thrash No. 12 Tigers

Pulaski, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team knocked off #12 Georgetown 82-59 on Thursday.

"I thought we were ready to play tonight," said coach Dugan Lyne. "The last two days we have talked a lot about urgency and team defense, and the guys responded. I thought it carried over to our offense as well. I'm proud of our team for their fight and intensity tonight."

NUMBERS GAME

   9 – Nine players scored for UTS, with four scoring 12 or more.

 14 – UTS had 14 assists, seven more than Georgetown.

 15 – The Firehawks defense forced 15 turnovers, only committing 12.

The Firehawks will continue at home on February 12th hosting Campbellsville for Homecoming. The Firehawks and Tigers will begin at 4 pm. UTS defeated CU in Campbellsville, Ky. 84-70 earlier in the season.
