Henderson, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern Firehawks defeated the Florida College Falcons 82-77 in the final game of the Christian College Classic.

The Firehawks (3-1) had four players punch the scorebook with double figures. The Falcons (6-1) only led twice in the first half. UTS would take and hold the lead for the last 36 minutes. The Falcons outshot UTS 50-40 percent from the field. The Firehawks would hit 11 triples and blaze the charity strip shooting 94 percent. UTS would outrebound Florida College 34-28.

UTS was led in scoring by Mohamed ElGohary with a game-high 30 points. ElGohary would also pace the team in rebounds with seven and would reject four shots. Cam Welch would score 20 points. Kavion Hancock would add 11, and Adarion Hudson pitched in 10.

"I'm proud of our team," said Coach Dugan Lyne. "We played two well-coached teams at the Christian College Classic, and we're fortunate to come out with two wins. They aren't always pretty, but I am so pleased that we have won the past two games in different ways."
